Old Amersham wedding with Sarah & Luke
In the heart of Old Amersham, a charming, picturesque market town dotted with church spirals and crooked townhouses, Sarah and Luke prepared for their big day at The Crown Inn, a stunning 16th-century coaching inn, filled with both rustic charm and modern touches. Sarah’s wedding dress draped gently from oak beams… Luke went over his Groom’s Speech one last time… It was a calm and serene morning and the same atmosphere followed the couple and their guests to the wedding ceremony at St Paul’s Church, a very small, 19th century country church. Inside, white walls topped by high oak beams brought everyone together in hushed celebration. An elegant window stood high above the alter, gracing the church with the most gorgeous light. It was an intimate setting, made all the more so by a shared history. As this is the church in which Sarah’s grandparents and parents were also married. Outside, guests and colourful confetti welcomed Sarah & Luke in their first moments as newlyweds. The celebrations continued back at The Crown in Old Amersham where fine food and wine was served in a private, country house-style room, complete with oak floors, tables and delicate sprinkles of flowers which were arranged by a friend of the couple. It was a day filled with laughter, tears of joy and love, all shared across generations. Please enjoy the photos.
Hello,
These photographs are beautiful. Was this wedding actually in February? We’re thinking of getting married in February and love the amount of light and sunshine you’ve managed to capture.
Thanks,
Elinor
Hi Elinor! Thanks for your comment. Sarah & Luke got married there last September. In February the days are slightly shorter so if you’re thinking of getting married in the winter months, I’d suggest to book an earlier ceremony. Hope this helps but if you have any questions, please ask. Bea x
